Hello All and Happy Wednesday! This is my first DIY tutorial for the New Year and I’m stocked to share it with you. I’ve had a pair of hoop earrings that’s been sitting around getting old and just worn out, so instead of throwing them away I decided to give them an updated look! Here’s how you can do the same.
- Old pair of hoop earrings
- Glue (i used e6000)
- Natural cord (any color)
- Scissors
- 5 to 10 mins
Step 1
Cut the cord to the desired length for the earrings you’ll be using. Make sure to cut enough that will wrap around your earrings so you might want to cut a good sized length to leave you with extra.
Step 2
Put glue on the starting part of the earrings then wrap your cord around it. Make sure the the end of the cord is glued down. You can press it down with your fingers to make sure it stays in place.
Step 3
Begin wrapping the cord around the earrings
Step 4
To alternate colors, take one of the piece of cord lay it down and wrap the second color over it. (if you are using one color cord there is no need to do this)
Step 5
Join both pieces of cord and repeat process of wrapping around the earring.
Step 6
Repeat step 4 with the alternate
